Job description

Do you have a passion for HR applications that enable easy service for all stakeholders? Do you support data-driven management and continuous improvement? Do you want to use the latest technologies and innovations to guarantee transparency, efficiency and compliance at all times?

As a Functional Application Manager, you will contribute to the success of our team by being responsible for all our HR applications and interfaces within the HR IT landscape. Of course, you will do this together with a team of HR Functional Application Managers, HR process and application owners, product owners and other HR stakeholders, from general management and HR Operations to Centers of Expertise and HR Business Partnering. Our goal is to improve the user experience with our HR processes and applications at all levels, and you play an essential role in achieving that goal.

Your tasks and responsibilities as a (Sr) Functional Application Manager are
  • You are a subject matter expert of our HR processes and applications for Key users and 1st-line support (HR Contact Center). In addition, you provide 2nd-line support for end users
  • You are responsible for setting up our HR Processes in the associated application(s).
  • You proactively focus on implementing changes, new functionalities including releases.
  • You help refine the requirements and advise our product owners on the functionalities and possibilities.
  • You document the implemented solutions.
  • Within your team of Functional Application Managers, you will work physically on the Wageningen Campus at least 2 days a week with scrum/agile methodologies.

Requirements

You are accurate, take the initiative to learn new tools and applications. You are a team player but can also work independently. Integrity, result and customer focus are core values for you.

You also have:
  • at least three years of relevant work experience as a functional application manager of one or more applications, preferably one year within the HR domain;
    • Knowledge/experience with ADP Workforce is an advantage
  • experience in optimizing and digitizing work processes;
  • Knowledge of personnel and (to a lesser extent) payroll processes
  • Knowledge of and experience with (managing) ticket systems
    • Knowledge/experience with JIRA and/or ServiceNow is an advantage
  • Knowledge and experience with tenders
  • HBO working and thinking level;
  • command of the Dutch and English language, both orally and in writing;
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.

In our international working environment, communication is increasingly in English. For this position, for this position, fluency in Dutch and English is required B2. If you do not yet have this level, we will of course help you and you can contact our language center Wageningen in'to Language.

Of course, these excellent fringe benefits also include an appropriate salary. Depending on your experience, we offer a competitive salary of at least € 3,245 to € 5,273 for a full working week of 36 hours in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement for Wageningen Research (scale 10).

This position is for 32 hours per week. In consultation, 28 hours a week is negotiable. Initially, we offer you a one-year contract, which will then be extended to an indefinite contract if there is mutual enthusiasm. Of course we are happy to talk to you if you have any questions about this.
