Job description

As an application manager, you are indispensable in the management and further development of the application environment for Business Operations & Finance within Wageningen University & Research (WUR). Together with a team of driven professionals, you are responsible for the software that ensures that the entire financial administration, project administration and procurement processes run smoothly. Think of systems such as Unit4 ERP, Proquro and MobileXpense.

In the coming years, we will be fully committed to standardising and further developing processes and administrations within business operations. As an application manager, you play a key role in this: you solve complex issues, implement changes and think along about new functionalities. In this way, you enable your colleagues in business operations to perform their work optimally! And you support your team with your technical knowledge.

What will you do?
  • Management and support: You provide technical support to your team for changes, updates, and incidents. You will support users of business applications such as Unit4 ERP, MyProjects, Proquro, and MobileXpense;
  • Integration & APIs: You know all the links on these applications and work together with the integration team on build, test and deploy links;
  • Automation: You are a driving force to extensively automate support and management activities;
  • Managing suppliers: You assess changes and improvements proposed by suppliers and ensure that they fit well with our architecture and processes;
  • Security and architecture: You know the security aspects and ensure that applications comply with the target architecture;

Requirements

  • HBO working and thinking level (if necessary demonstrable via assessment);
  • Experience with application management of ERP systems or financial systems at enterprise level;
  • Fluent in Dutch;
  • Ability to switch between technical and functional issues and communicate clearly with both technical IT colleagues and end users;
  • Knowledge of SQL, data management, a good understanding of database management and an understanding of the underlying IT infrastructure;
  • Knowledge of security aspects within application management.
  • Experience with standardized handling of support tickets, changes and problems (ITIL);

Depending on your experience, we offer a competitive salary of a minimum of € 3,234 to a maximum of € 6,008 for a full working week of 36 hours in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement for Wageningen Research (scale 10/11). An appointment of 32 hours is negotiable.
