The department of Cognitive Science & Artificial Intelligence at Tilburg University is looking for an enthusiastic and well-organized Research Programmer to support research on small language models in a collaborative research project. The project aims to establish a research platform for testing small language models as alternatives to Big Tech solutions.

You will work closely with the research team on a platform for evaluating small language models. As part of your role, you will:

Fixed-term contract: 12 maanden.
- based on UFO profile IT Developer 5 and salary scale 8 of the Collective Labor Agreement for Dutch Universities, the starting gross salary for a full-time appointment is (minimally) € 3.218,- (step 0 in scale 8) up to (maximally) € 4.298,-, (step 10 in scale 8) gross per month. (the university is implementing a new set of UFO IT profiles. This function will probably be reclassified into the new UFO profile of Engineering Application Manager 5. The final new classification will be announced at a later date).
- the position is parttime, 0.7 fte for 1 year. The start of the employment will be as soon as possible.
