With a keen eye for current affairs and always focused on its mission 'to explore the potential of nature to improve the quality of life', WUR publishes daily online content about its research and teaching.
We are the editors of WUR. On https://www.wur.nl/en.htm, the blog platform and the newsletter platform, among others, we build online content that contributes to WUR's goals. In addition, we make content more complete, ensure optimal layout and structure and regularly take care of the image editing. We also advise colleagues on the possibilities of the online platforms and we are responsible for lifecycle management.

We are looking for a new colleague who is enthusiastic about contributing to WUR's online presentation. As a web editor, you manage the editors' mailbox and work behind the scenes on the website (in the CMS). In addition, you edit and post texts on https://www.wur.nl/en.htm, blogs and newsletters. You do this independently, but in a team.

Our team is part of the Corporate Communications & Marketing department. Together we work on stories about, for example, the North Sea and student competitions.

In our international working environment, communication is increasingly in English. For this position, it concerns language level B2. If you do not yet have this level, we will of course help you and you can contact our language center Wageningen in'to Language

You can see that there are plenty of challenges for you. These challenges can also be seen as development opportunities. So if you do not yet have the track record required in the vacancy, but do have solid work experience, we would also like to invite you to apply.

When it comes to terms of employment, Wageningen University & Research is the right place for you. Highlights from our Collective Labour Agreement are, for example:
  • working hours that can be determined in consultation, so that an optimal work-life balance is possible;

We recruit internally first. Your current contract is the starting point, which we respect. We will discuss the possibilities during the interviews. If you have any questions at this stage, we will be happy to help you.
