  • Contribute to the development of standards, policies, and best practices for ServiceNow Discovery and CMDB.
  • Understand the ServiceNow data model (CSDM) and be an advocate of the model towards the organization
  • Support colleagues through knowledge transfer and mentoring.

Requirements

You will bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • You read and speak both Dutch and English fluently.
  • Significant hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery and CMDB (minimum 3 years’ experience in Discovery, with 5+ years in ServiceNow).
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure (servers, networking, databases, cloud platforms, and virtualisation technologies).
  • Practical expertise with Discovery configuration and troubleshooting, including MID server management and ACC configuration.
  • Proficiency in scripting (especially JavaScript).
  • Excellent communication skills, able to work with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  • ServiceNow CIS – Discovery or ITOM certification (desirable), plus CSA certification (required).

Conditions of employment

Wageningen University & Research offers excellent terms of employment. A few highlights from our Collective Labour Agreement include:
  • working hours that can be discussed and arranged so that they allow for the best possible work-life balance;
  • sabbatical leave, study leave, and partially paid parental leave;
  • there is a strong focus on vitality and you can make use of the sports facilities available on campus for a small fee;
  • a fixed December bonus of 8,3%;
  • excellent pension scheme.

In addition to these first-rate employee benefits, you will of course receive a good salary. We offer, depending on your experience, a competitive gross salary of between € 4,045 and € 6,228 for a full-time working week of 36 hours, in accordance with the CLA Wageningen Research (scale 11). Additionally, a contract for 32 hours can be discussed. First, we offer a one-year contract with the intention of converting it into a permanent contract. Of course, we are happy to have a conversation with you if you have any questions about this.
