Contribute to clear and future-proof HR policy at WUR. As a legal officer/paralegal specialising in employment law, you translate legislation and regulations into practical HR policies. You manage the HR knowledge portal and advise HR colleagues in a hybrid, professional working environment with ample opportunities for development.

At the corporate HR Legal department of Wageningen University & Research (WUR), you will have the opportunity to apply your legal knowledge by integrating it into our knowledge system in a clear and structured manner.

What will you be doing?
You will work with experienced legal counsels to keep our policies, regulations and model documents, such as employment contracts, up to date. You will also ensure that our internal knowledge portal is up to date and answer questions about collective labour agreements and HR topics related to labour law. In addition, you will be the complaints officer for our regulations on undesirable behaviour and other objection procedures.

You will work independently, within clear frameworks and close to practice. You will be part of the corporate HR Legal team, together with legal counselers and specialists in the field of social security and job evaluation.

What will you be doing?

• You will answer questions from HR colleagues about collective labour agreements, internal regulations and labour law and legal position questions. You will also monitor new legislation and regulations and translate these into clear policy;
• You will keep our legal information up to date and understandable. You will manage the HR Legal section of the WUR Knowledge Portal, write knowledge articles and ensure that standard documents such as employment contracts and letters are up to date;
• You will be jointly responsible for improving HR Legal processes. You will ensure that the basics remain in order, identify areas for improvement and make proposals to streamline documentation and work processes;
• You are the complaints officer for the Complaints Procedure for Undesirable Behaviour and Objection Procedures. You inform employees about the procedure, support committees by independently drafting and developing policy and decision-making memos, and ensure that complaints are handled carefully and confidentially;
• You support consultations with the trade unions by gathering information and carrying out preparatory work;
• You translate labour law issues into policy;
• You participate in projects when necessary.

Of course, these excellent fringe benefits also include an appropriate salary. Depending on your relevant work experience and salary, we offer a minimum of € 3,399,- to a maximum of € 5,478.- for a full working week of 36 hours according to the Collective Labor Agreement Wageningen Research (scale 10).

We offer you a full time one-year contract with the intention of converting it to an indefinite contract. We are happy to help you if you have any questions about this.
