Job description

The department of Cognitive Neuroscience, Radboudumc and the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour have been increasingly successful in acquiring large consortium and individual grants from European and national funding bodies. The management of these grants requires proper support at the levels of administration and reporting, human resources and finances for the Principal Investigators, coordinators and/or work package leaders of these studies.

We are searching for a Grant Manager for the department of Cognitive Neuroscience. As a Grant Manager, you will support and oversee all sorts of administrative and reporting activities, such as reporting to the EU and other grant bodies, providing assistance for obtaining medical-ethics approval for planned studies, and facilitate recruiting of new research personnel. You keep a keen eye on data and privacy issues and, deliverables and results. You will also become active by mediating preparation of new grant proposals, and support dissemination and public engagement.

You will interact with the Principal Investigators of the department, all other stakeholders in the projects and with experts from the department of Valorisation of Radboudumc.

Tasks and responsibilities
  • Manage and support execution of complex grants with regard to administration, reporting, ethics approval, data basing and archiving;
  • Support preparation and submission of new grants;
  • Interact with all relevant stakeholders;
  • Work in an interdisciplinary team.

Requirements

  • MSc or PhD degree and experience with project management preferably in international research projects;
  • Proficient in both Dutch and English (written and spoken). Non-native speakers should have the ability to acquire good Dutch oral and writing skills within a year;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build sustainable relationships;
  • Team player and service oriented;
  • Results oriented and stress resistant;
  • Innovative and proactive.

Conditions of employment

The gross monthly salary, depending on education will be scale 10 (max. € 4.361) or scale 11 (max. € 5.086) based on a full-time working week (excl. vacation bonus and 8,3% end of year payments).

Upon commencement of employment we require a certificate of conduct (Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag, VOG) and there will be, depending on the type of job, a screening based on the provided cv. Radboud university medical center's HR Department will apply for this certificate on your behalf.
