General tasks of the ACT coordination team, of which the new colleague ACT academic coordinator will be part of, are:

• Coordination of the student teams and coaches during the periods the course is running
• Support and motivation of staff involved in teaching, and in content and process coaching
• Maintaining the balance across learning outcomes related to consultancy, academic, transdisciplinary, team and personal development skills
• Course evaluation from the perspective of students, involved staff and commissioners
• Communication with involved study programs
• Continuous innovation of the course
• Development of (transdisciplinary) educational material
• Coaching and teaching
• Assessment students requests for exemption.

The new ACT academic coordinator is expected to coordinate the ACT course during two periods per year, is supposed to contribute to coaching, and to contribute to other general coordination tasks highlighted above based on his/her interest and to be agreed upon with the coordination team.

Education and Student Affairs
As the central department within Wageningen University & Research, the Education and Student Affairs department is responsible for strategic issues and policy making in the field of education, as well as operational and supporting activities. The department matches the demand and supply of teaching, guarantees the quality of education, and develops and implements educational policy. In addition to accredited programmes, the department helps to develop an online education portfolio. The department coordinates and facilitates the preparation and implementation of vital processes such as accreditations, external reviews and other quality audits of teaching at Wageningen University & Research. Lastly, the department provides services to existing and potential students and to WU lecturers and supports the delivery of teaching.

Academic Consultancy Training
One of the courses present in all MSC-programmes is an Academic Consultancy Training. In this course students work on a real life case and learn by working together. As this is a general course which is not linked with a particular chair group in the university, the department Education & Student Affairs feels itself responsible for hiring a new coordinator for this course. In the end however, the coordinator we are looking for, will stay positioned within the chair groups of Wageningen University he or she is already part (and thereby the organisation of the course will be comparable to all other courses).

The current team coordinating the Academic Consultancy Training (ACT) course (YMC-60809) is searching for a new motivated colleague that joins the team as ACT academic coordinator. The current ACT coordination team consist of three ACT academic coordinators and examiners, and two support staff in charge of the day-to-day coordination.
