The Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience (FPN) is an international faculty with students and staff from diverse cultural backgrounds who are linked by their shared curiosity about the human brain. This curiosity drives us to explore the broad field of psychology from a biological and cognitive perspective. By using the Problem-Based Learning method of teaching we encourage a similar curiosity in our students by handing them the tools to discover the world of the human brain.
As an Operational Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with the development, successful execution and evaluation of events that contribute to UM and FPN strategic goals and targets.
Most of the events are related to student recruitment, internal and external communications, alumni and student life / community building.

What do we expect from you?
You thrive in an international work environment in a dynamic role with many responsibilities. You have an MBO+/HBO education level in a relevant field, for example in Event, Hotel or Facility Management. You have a minimum of 1 - 2 years relevant work experience in the field of Event Organisation. You are an enthusiastic team player, willing to learn more about the world of events in an educational setting. Furthermore, you are in command of the Dutch and English language (written and spoken).
Your profile / competences:
Fixed-term contract: 1 year.
The appointment (0,6 fte) will be for the period of 1 year. With shown suitability after 1 year, this contract will be changed to a permanent contract.
Salary scale: the position of Operational Assistant is ranked as Communications Officer 3 (UFO profile), salary scale 7 of the Collective Labour Agreement of the Dutch Universities.
Employees also receive an 8% holiday and 8.3% year-end bonus given annually.
