Contribute to a catalysis and materials science-oriented research program through an expertise in (in situ) electron microscopy.

Working within the Debye Institute for Nanomaterials Science you will be involved in understanding charged solid/liquid interfaces of nanostructured materials such as (photo)electro-catalytic materials or electrode-electrolyte interfaces in batteries. Your background and the position

You have a PhD in Electron Microscopy, Inorganic Materials, or (heterogeneous) Catalysis, an excellent track record, and the experience necessary to take your place within an international research and education environment. Your own research interests are found within the broad field of electron microscopy for materials science. Combining scientific excellence with an open-minded and collaborative mindset in research and teaching, you contribute enthusiastically to the acquisition and execution of externally funded projects. As such, it is important that you are able to act as an outward looking ambassador for Utrecht University, communicating your knowledge to the next generation and across networks.
