See below for details about the senior positions. In addition we are seeking applications for at least one tenure track position in strategy and/or entrepreneurship. For these positions we seek candidates at the Assistant Professor level, including experienced Assistant Professor.

We seek future colleagues whose work fits our orientation towards strategy scholarship from a management perspective. For a senior position, we expect demonstrated research excellence in the form of multiple top publications and other evidence of scholarly impact, plus evidence of teaching and service leadership ability. Time allocation for senior faculty is a function of individual performance and preferences, but research towards publication in top journals remains a priority at all ranks. For a junior position, we are looking for candidates with exceptional research potential and strong teaching ability. We are open to candidates with interests in various topics and subfields – in particular corporate strategy and entrepreneurship but also competitive strategy, innovation, and international management. The successful applicants can join the Department in any month during 2020. ABD applicants are expected to earn their Ph.D. prior to joining the Department.

Fixed-term contract: 5 years.

Compensation is competitive with similar schools, and we provide guaranteed travel and extra initial research budgets. Faculty moving to the Netherlands may be eligible for a large tax abatement (30%) for a maximum period of five years.

Tilburg School of Economics and Management

The Department of Management is part of the School of Economics and Management (TiSEM) at Tilburg University. As a whole, the department consists of 38 tenured and tenure-track faculty members and 13 lecturers. Within the department, the Strategy and Organization section conducts research in strategy, entrepreneurship, international business, and innovation. The department has a very strong research orientation with a focus on high-quality publications. The teaching load for pre-tenure faculty is the equivalent of two courses in total per year plus supervision of Bachelor and Master’s thesis projects (40% teaching time).
