The Information Manager is responsible for sustaining and strengthening information management and ICT services within the faculty and reports directly to the director of FASoS.
As Information Manager, you are in charge of securing and enhancing the faculties information architecture and keeping it up to date in the short term as well as the long term. This requires you to be familiar with relevant information systems (such as, for instance, SAP) and knowledgeable of internal and external ICT developments. You are willing to enhance your expertise in the information processes that relate to the faculty core tasks associated with education, research, HRM and finances.
You are responsible for IT support and maintenance, key figures and management information, technology and innovation related to education and research and GDPR compliancy.
You will provide strategic advice on and ensure an adequate and integrated organizational information-supply by monitoring its basic principles, conditions and limitations. In this context you take stock of and analyse the information wants and needs of the academic and support staff and translate these to information provision.
Your strength lies in a clear, user-friendly approach of specific information requests from staff and translating them into the underlying information architecture and information processes. It is especially important to create support among staff for your ideas. You are capable of bringing people together and collaborating with them. You have a hands-on mentality and, where necessary, you contribute to the implementation of projects you initiated. You represent FASoS in internal and external consultation bodies, thereby monitoring the faculty’s interests on both the short and long term.

We offer a 0.80 - 1.00 fte appointment as Information Manager for one year. Within the framework of the university job structure (UFO), this position is in the category “Information Manager”, level 2.
In case of good performance, after one year a fixed appointment is a possibility.
Remuneration will be according to standard salary levels, depending on education and relevant work experience, in salary scale 10 or 11 (€ 2.709 - € 4.978,- gross per month, based on a fulltime appointment) according to the collective labour agreement (CAO) of Dutch Universities.
Each year the standard salary is supplemented with a holiday allowance of 8% and an end-of-year bonus of 8.3%.
Other secondary conditions include e.g. a pension scheme and partially paid parental leave as well as a shared office space, a mobile telephone and a PC.
