Project description
EHRI (European Holocaust Research Infrastructure) is a European project that facilitates research into the Holocaust. It is a large consortium of Holocaust archives, museums and research organisations from across Europe, Israel and the United States. EHRI is funded by the European Commission under Horizon2020. More information about the project can be found at https://ehri-project.eu.

As a project manager (0.6 FTE) you are responsible for the successful implementation of EHRI, working closely with the EHRI Co-Directors. We are looking to fill this position no later than 1 April 2020. It is offered until 30 November 2022. You are responsible for project administration, consortium management and reporting to the grant provider. This includes the following tasks:

  • Acting as a contact for the consortium and the grant provider;
  • Maintaining and managing communication with the consortium, advisory boards and grant providers;
  • Organizing physical and virtual meetings, taking minutes of meetings and monitoring the follow-up of actions;
  • Monitoring the scientific and administrative progress of the project;
  • Coordinating the drafting of reports to the grant provider;
  • Managing and coordinating the help desk;
  • Monitoring and administering specific budgets (in collaboration with the finance department);
  • Assisting the co-Directors with management tasks as required.

Requirements

You are a person with:

  • Project management experience and experience in financial administration (processing of invoices, etc.);
  • The capability to organize in an excellent way and to work both independently and in a team;
  • Strong interpersonal, diplomatic and intercultural skills;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Dutch;
  • Good IT skills (MS Office, etc.);
  • A working attitude that is service-oriented, professional, proactive, stress-resistant and reliable;
  • You are prepared to work flexibly with tight deadlines;
  • You are willing to travel;
  • And last but not least: you have an affinity with the mission of EHRI.

Conditions of employment

The NIOD offers an inclusive, internationally-oriented and cooperative working environment with a great deal of room for individual initiative and responsibility.

The salary for a full-time (38 hrs) position ranges from EUR 2.709 to 4.274 gross per month maximum (salary scale 10, collective labor agreement Dutch Universities).

In addition to the salary: an 8% holiday allowance and an 8.3% end-of-year bonus.
