Job description

Do you want to use your passion for smart systems and data science for high-quality research on business IT platforms? Would you like to address this in the IT in Agrifood Context? Are you a team player who can carry out multidisciplinary research? Then we are looking for you. Please apply for this 3-year postdoc position.

The use of IT and data science in AgriFood offers excellent opportunities for businesses in addressing global challenges. The currently available and continuously newly generated data can be used to support the decision making processes in management information systems. Smart digital platforms can be developed that include smart software modules and advanced data analytics, thereby creating new momentum for the governance and management of agricultural information systems. With the shared smart platform, we aim to address the related technological and business-governance challenges. Important research questions include but are not limited to: What are the technical and governance requirements that a platform must meet for farmers to profitably integrate the use of the different IT systems? How to translate and align the stakeholder needs and business processes with the technical infrastructure? How to design a smart platform with big data analytics? How to integrate this smart platform with other platforms to create a smart ecosystem?

The post-doc position is a collaborative initiative of two chair groups, including the Information Technology Group (INF) and the Business Management & Organization (BMO) group.
