Job description

The Technician DesignLab Tech Team works towards achieving DesignLab’s goals by collaborating closely together with students and researchers that are building (rapid)prototypes. Together with your colleague technician and student team you assist in finding creative solutions to the technical support questions the users have and showing how technology can be used as they may have never built prototypes before. The variety of technology DesignLab has to offer can assist in the building of these prototypes or the use of the scrap table where we reuse materials to give a different perspective for solutions. You show them the possibilities by also giving examples of past projects that may infuse them with creativity.

An eco-system like DesignLab is never 100% complete; it is important that you are eager to search for and contact suitable (internal) partners, researchers, staff and students in order to achieve the results that have been defined for the projects. Last but not least you explore opportunities to maximize the impact of DesignLab within the university, and beyond!
