Department

CuriousU is the summer school in festival style of the University of Twente (UT) that takes place on campus every August. During CuriousU international bachelor and master students as well as learners from all over the world enjoy our academic courses. During these 9 days, students learn in multidisciplinary and intercultural teams and are welcomed to participate in the festival program organized for them. The festival programme includes among other things: inspirational speakers, art, culture and sports.

CuriousU had more than 310 participants from 50 different countries in 2019 and since then the ambition is to keep growing both in numbers and in quality. In addition to this, a tailormade programme of 3 weeks, taking place in July, is usually offered (depending on demand) to a group of 40 students from partner universities. Following impact of the pandemic to the current education, CuriousU could not remain unaffected. For 2021 the UT will be offering the summer school in a blended format, meaning that the courses and the festival will have both online and on-campus components.
