Job description

Against this backdrop of ambition and transformation, we are looking for a Vice-President who is able to co-lead a large professional organisation. We expect inspiring leadership and strategic action, aimed at energising the organisation, fostering collaboration with university stakeholders, and strengthening the position of UT further. A solid background in leadership has equipped you to lead our internal organisation, as well as to manage ongoing changes in our central services in the context of digital transformation. You will operate as a full collegial partner on the Executive Board and as a counterpart to the University Council. You are familiar with an academic environment or have affinity with knowledge-intensive organisations, and you command functional expertise in vital areas discussed in the Competences section.

YOUR POSITION AS VICE-PRESIDENT

Within the collegial board, the Vice-President is responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of the general business policy of our University. Key themes are digital transformation, campus development related to the development of Kennispark Twente, and flexibility in operations support. More specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Co-ordination of the policy cycle involving all relevant stakeholders. Here, our ambition is to enhance the connection between the strategic ambitions, as described in Shaping2030, to services, finance, and personnel development, and to encourage crossovers and entrepreneurship;
  • Leading and encouraging the digital transformation and hybrid way of working at UT;
  • Housing and Real Estate, including strengthening the campus as a unique asset for our UT community and for Kennispark Twente;
  • Strengthening ties with regional and national networks to bolster the position of UT (VSNU, 4TU, ministries, etc.).
