Radboudumc
The department of
Pathology of the Radboud University Medical Center plays an active role in the hospitals' patient care, education and research. Pathologists work in sub-specialized teams, employing a fully digitized microscopical workflow.
The Computational Pathology Group is an integral part of the department and consists of some 25 researchers. They focus on development and validation of automated microscopical tissue analysis based on Artificial Intelligence. Application areas include diagnostics and prognostics of breast, prostate, lung and colon cancer, among others. The group is among the international front runners in the field, witnessed for instance by the highly successful grand challenges (CAMELYON, PANDA) which they organized. They collaborate closely with clinicians and industry worldwide.
