Job description

We seek a new colleague who will be responsible for supervision of BSc and MSc level student research projects in Bioinformatics and Artificial Intelligence programmes. We look for an active researcher in the bioinformatics domain, using machine learning as underlying methodology, or a researcher with a focus on Artificial Intelligence with applications in the domain of bioinformatics.

  • supervising BSc and MSc student research projects in Bioinformatics and AI
  • assessing BSc and MSc student research projects in Bioinformatics and AI

Requirements

  • completed a PhD in Bioinformatics or Machine Learning
  • experience in the supervision of BSc and MSc students
  • experience in the formal assessment of BSc/MSc student projects

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 1 year.

A challenging position in a socially involved organization. On full-time basis the remuneration amounts to a minimum gross monthly salary of €3,746 (scale 11)
and a maximum €5,127 (scale 11), depending on your education and experience. The job profile: is based on the university job ranking system and is vacant for at least 0.2 FTE.

The temporary employment contract will affect a period of 1 year with a possibility for extension.
