Erasmus University College (EUC) is maturing, and ambitious in positioning itself as an educational innovator in terms of defining Liberal Arts for the 21th century. A strong professional services staff is essential to help our educational experts flourish, in both teaching and research.
The functional application manager we are looking for is well able to ‘work the systems’ in such a way that IT is smoothly supporting top education. You identify opportunities for improvement, structural issues and come up with solutions. For that you will need to deep-dive into EUC’s educational structure and really understand what IT can contribute.
You will manage EUC’s digital educational systems (Canvas, EOBs back-end system), and make sure its users also know how to use it well. You will give our teachers course support when implementing (innovative features of) IT in their education, also closely cooperating with our Learning Innovation Manager in EUR-wide IT projects. And of course you are well able to translate educational needs and wishes into feasible tasks and projects for (EOBs) developers.
In order to keep the MyEUR structure and websites up to date, you are familiar with Drupal and can oversee the tasks of other users / editors.

As functional application manager you work in the Office of Student & Educational Affairs & Admissions (OSEA). OSEA is at the heart of EUC to support all students and staff with up-to-date information and support regarding the bachelor’s degree programme in Liberal Arts & Sciences. OSEA proactively supports the four academic departments at EUC: Social & Behavioural Sciences, Economics & Business, Life Sciences and Humanities, as well as the Dean’s Office. For our academic staff we facilitate their excellent teaching: the motto is unburdening. The newly established ECLAS is meant to further unleash the research potential of the EUC academic staff and to integrate all initiatives and ideas in a focused way. And focus you will need too….

Your initial employment will be a.s.a.p. for 0,8 - 1 fte for a term of 1 year with the possibility of extension. Your remuneration will depend on the position, your specific knowledge and experience It will be calculated on the basis of full-time salary ranging between EUR 2.790 and 4.402 gross per year (salary scale 10, CAO NU ).
