The Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) has the following vacancy: Post-Doc Post-Doc in super-resolution imaging of trafficking and transport across epithelial barriers within the department of Biomedical Engineering (BME).

Job description

We are searching for a young scientist who is interested to use single molecule imaging and super-resolution microscopy to study trafficking and transport of proteins across epithelial barriers. The function is part of the EUROSTARS project g2B (Gut-to-Blood) of Dr. Lorenzo Albertazzi. The objective is to use advanced methods such PAINT super-resolution microscopy and single molecule tracking to acquire new knowledge on the receptor binding, intracellular trafficking and transcytosis of protein carriers across intestinal monolayers. In particular the use of protein constructs developed in the project to target cell receptors and promote transport will be explored. The project is embedded in a European consortium and will benefit of international collaborations with groups active in the field of targeting ligands, protein expression and in vivo biology.
