Faculty Position in Organisational Change Management

The department of Organisation and Personnel Management at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) invites applications for the faculty position in the field of Organisational Change Management. The position is at the Assistant Professor level with tenure track. Starting date is 1 September 2021.

Your main tasks
Excellent research and teaching in the field of organisational change management.
  • Research in the field of Organisational Change Management
  • Ideally studying change from micro and macro perspectives
  • Teaching courses on change, organisation and personnel management (particularly with a micro focus) in our master and bachelor programmes

Requirements

You should have a PhD or expect to complete a PhD in 2021, in management (including, change management, OB, organisation theory, HRM) or a related discipline (e.g., economics, psychology, sociology).

The assistant professor position requires high quality performance in research (i.e., published papers and/or high quality papers in the pipeline for top management journals - see the ERIM journal list). Candidates for an assistant professorship position should be able to demonstrate their potential for outstanding achievements in research and teaching. This appointment is a tenure track position.

Your required competences
Successful applicants are ideally expected to have some practical experience in the field of change management. Candidates should also be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching at MSc and post-experience levels. You will be primarily teaching a course addressing people management topics, in English and Dutch. We are therefore looking for candidates who have C1 (CEFR) for English and native or fluent (C2 CEFR) in Dutch, or are able/willing to learn Dutch within a year (with the support from our department).

Conditions of employment

This is a full-time position with a contract for 38 hours per week based on the Tenure Track system.

The conditions of employment correspond with the collective labour agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO VSNU)

Salary is subject to training and experience and may vary from a minimum of € 3,746 (scale 11 CAO NU) gross per month and up to a maximum of € 5,127 gross per month (scale 11 CAO NU), based on a full-time contract of 38 hours.
