As a lecturer within SBE you will have a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities in the realm of teaching. Depending on your academic background and personal interests, you could teach in courses offered by various departments within the School in which your ambition and personal motivation is key.

Requirements

You have:

  • A powerful drive to further your career and the success of Maastricht University in your role as a lecturer;
  • A passion for people and a passion for working in a collaborative learning environment;
  • An affinity with at least one of the following disciplines: Accounting, Artificial Intelligence, Business Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Digital Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Information Management, Innovation Management, Marketing Analytics and Method, Mathematics, Organisation, Statistics, Strategy, Supply Chain Management;
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching and the ambition to make a positive impact on the students of SBE;
  • An obtained PhD in the field of economics or business is a plus and will secure a position in salary scale 11. The PhD degree will also enable your involvement in course coordination and Master thesis supervision;
  • Fluent English language skills, both orally and in writing.

Conditions of employment

We offer:

  • A part-time or fulltime position (max. 38 hours per week) as lecturer (for multiple disciplines within business and economics) in a highly international environment with an inclusive culture;
  • A position at one of the best young business schools in the world;
  • Salary scale 10 - 11 depending on your qualifications and work experience, based on our Collective Labor Agreement (CAO-NU);
  • Relocation allowances when moving into the Maastricht area (the entire area within 40 km driving distance from the School);
  • Attractive benefits package, such as substantial leave arrangements and allowances;
  • A temporary contract of two years, with the possibility of extension;
  • An excellent onboarding programme, despite the current COVID-19 restrictions.
