The Protestant Theological University is the leader of IRiLiS, the interuniversity platform for innovative research in the field of Liturgical and Ritual Studies. IRiLiS stimulates exploratory, contextual research, often with a multidisciplinary approach. As of 1 September 2021, IRiLIS is looking for: an Academic Coordinator (0.3 fte).

What is IRiLiS?
IRiLiS brings together different partners in a national and international network; academic, but also social and ecclesiastical partners. In addition to high-quality research, IRiLiS works on impact. This means that research is often set up and carried out in collaboration with social and ecclesiastical partners.

What are you going to do?
Together with the scientific director you form the management. You report to the board. You are responsible for the organisation of seminars and for internal and external communication. In addition, you take care of the administration and prepare meetings. You increase the national and international network. You are desk editor of the three series of the institute: the Open Access journal Yearbook for Ritual and Liturgical Studies, the international book series Liturgia Condenda (Leuven: Peeters) and the book series Netherlands Studies in Ritual and Liturgy.

What do we expect?
You have a PhD in Liturgical and Ritual Studies or a related discipline (or have an approved dissertation) and preferably have scientific follow-up publications. You have a relevant national and international network of scientists, and a relevant national network of stakeholders, social parties, and so on. You are a team player with good communication skills. You have good editorial skills, very good knowledge of and skills in English and preferably also French and/or German. You have a positive attitude towards our Protestant identity.

Fixed-term contract: Four years.

Depending on training and experience, the salary is according to the Collective Labour Agreement of Dutch Universities at least € 2,790 per month and has a maximum of € 4,402 gross per month. In addition, you get a 8% holiday allowance and an end-of-year allowance of 8.3%.
The position is classified according to UFO profile Knowledge Valorisation Officer level 4. The employment contract will be temporarily for a period of four years with a probationary period of two months. You can count on a large contribution to the ABP pension scheme, receive compensation for commuting expenses and can exchange working conditions for tax purposes.
