Job description

Your main task is to guide the development of our young IB professionals in the field of International Business. You coach them in their community together with other colleagues and the working field. You share your expertise and inspire our young professionals. You will coach and guide students in their project groups as well as in individual professional development. You will assess students, which is a result of a formative process of feedback and feedforward. Performing research in our research centre Sustainable International Business (SIB) may be a part of your task.

IB is looking for several new, enthusiastic, and highly motivated colleagues for in total about 5.0 fte. Your appointment will be between 0.6 – 1.0 FTE.
We are specifically looking for the following fields of experience and expertise (yet, not only restricted to):

  • digital citizenship in the domain of international business & communication (for example digital transformation strategies, digital product development, digital research methods, big data analytics and visualization, online platform-based competition, creative online business models);
  • sustainable marketing, sustainable management, sustainable-finance, sustainable SCM;
  • creative and innovative thinking skills in business;
  • community building and learning.

We expect you to:

  • be enthusiast about and able to work (individually but also within a team) in an innovative learning environment;
  • provide energy to the community of students and colleagues, be adaptive to a rapid changing and innovative learning environment;
  • be a listener, give trust, help students in their development;
  • get energy from inspiring students to become the best IB professional they can be;
  • be flexible, result-oriented and a good team player;
  • participate in development and innovation teams and projects on educational innovation in business;

And as your background, skills and education, you:

  • have experience in the IB work field;
  • are able to teach in English and have excellent English communication skills. Reasonable command of Dutch is an asset;
  • have excellent coaching skills for bachelor learning, be familiar with current educational views, methods, techniques and assessment methods;
  • have at least a master degree in the field of International Business (holding a PhD – or nearby completion of a doctoral degree - in the above mentioned expertise areas is an asset);
  • have self-organizational qualities;
  • have a good sense of humour;

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: One year with the possibility of extension (based on performance evaluation and the availability of organizational means).

The salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s educational background and experience but will not exceed a maximum of salary scale 11 CAO-HBO, the collective agreement for universities of applied sciences, (maximum of €5,026.85 before taxes, per month, under fulltime employment).
