As Outgoing Students officer you will have the following responsibilities:

• You are the first contact point for SBE’s BSc students who will be going abroad.
• You are responsible for the entire Erasmus grant process, including student contacts and liaising with UM’s Scholarship office and Finance department.
• You are responsible for the administrative part of the selection of the outgoing BSc students.
• In addition, you will be:
  • monitoring (global) developments that may impact internationalisation and help the Coordinator plan actions where needed;
  • gathering and maintaining information on our partner institutions’ exchange programmes in order to adequately advise selected students;
  • updating intranet, internet, and social media;
  • supporting, maintaining and improving relationships with partner institutions;
  • organising information sessions and assisting in developing communication materials regarding SBE’s exchange programme;
  • informing the students about the selection process;
  • supporting, assisting and advising outgoing students with regard to the entire exchange programme;
  • monitoring the progress of students participating in the programmes;
  • proposing corrective measures in case of student/IRO conflicts, notably with regard to the interpretation of the exchange programme rules and regulations;
  • processing the students’ transcripts, Requests of Approval, essays and statements;
  • filling out forms for the students upon request;
  • responsible for reporting about the exchange programmes to other stakeholders at SBE; 
  • organising events and meetings.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a challenging international working environment. You are a team player and have a collegial mindset. You have good communication skills and find it easy to adapt to different work styles and meet the expectations of those you work with. You have completed a relevant University of Applied Sciences degree or have reached this level in the course of the previous positions you held, which preferably were in a similar environment as the position currently on offer. Needless to say, you have an excellent command of English and Dutch (level C1).

Fixed-term contract: 1-year contract (potentially extendable).

The position is classified as UFO-profile Internationalisation Officer, level 3. Depending on the level of experience, expertise and prior education of the person filling this position, s/he will be in scale 7 of the Collective Labour Agreement of Dutch Universities (CAO), with potential promotion to scale 8.
