The Student Well-being program has been set up in close collaboration with the University Council, Student Support and Faculties of EUR and aims to enhance student success by focusing on student’s well-being and personal development. An important way to achieve this is by reinforcing the 'chain of support' at EUR: from prevention (e.g., personal development and coping skills) to care. The program is financed by the Higher Education Quality Agreements and the National Education Program.

What are you going to do?

• Setting up a central information point/centre for students on campus, focused on well-being and personal development;
• Elaborating project plans in the field of community building, for example implementing the Uni-life app within faculties;
• Connecting with students, faculties and support service;
• Contribute to and coordinate with other projects and themes within the program, aimed at e.g., the 'Student Living Room', 'Online Wellbeing Platform' and 'Student Support Services and Lecturers';
• Promoting the mission on student well-being within EUR;
• Carrying out both coordinating and executive activities;
• Representing the Student Well-being program internally and externally in close collaboration with the program leader and two academic leads.

• Academic working and thinking level;
• Affinity with (student) welfare, mental health and prevention;
• Experience with project management;
• Able to tackle multiple projects and activities in parallel;
• Excellent oral and written communication in Dutch and English.

Fixed-term contract: 2 years.

An internationally oriented and varied job in an enthusiastic team, with good working conditions in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement for Dutch Universities (cao NU).

The successful candidate will be offered an employment contract from October 2021 until December 2023 with Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Your remuneration will depend on the position, your specific knowledge and experience. It will be calculated on the basis of full-time salary ranging between € 2.836,- and € 4.474,- gross per month (salary scale 10, CAO NU ).

In addition, EUR pays an 8% holiday allowance and an end-of-year payment of 8.3% and offers excellent secondary benefits, like a very generous leave scheme. Furthermore, EUR is affiliated with ABP for the pension provision and we offer partially paid parental leave. Employees can also use EUR facilities, such as the Erasmus sports center and the University library.

The General Management Directorate (Algemene Bestuursdienst, ABD)

The General Management Directorate (Algemene Bestuursdienst, ABD) is the central staff organisation responsible for the organisation and support of EUR’s policy and administration at the institutional level. ABD supports the Executive Board in fulfilling its responsibilities with regard to the quality, accessibility and financing of EUR’s education and research programmes. ABD handles the joint design of integrated policy, ensures the timely submission of policy within decision-making procedures and the implementation of the adopted policy measures and constantly monitors and evaluates developments in the interest of further improvement. ABD comprises the departments of Academic Affairs (AZ) including D&I Office, Corporate Planning & Control (CPC), Administrative Affairs (BZ), Legal Affairs (JZ) and the Chief Information Office (CIO). The independent university publication Erasmus Magazine also falls under ABD in organisational terms. The management directorate is headed by the Director of the General Management Directorate, who also serves as Secretary of the Executive Board.
