Specifically, we will look into which parameters and hidden data patterns have led to output of AI models and how application logic/expert knowledge can increase explainability of these models. This project will focus on medical applications and collaborate closely with hospitals and some Dutch medical universities.

PhD position 3: Edge AI

This position we will investigate light-weight, energy-/data- efficient, and self-learning AI and deep learning techniques for Edge devices. Architectural aspects of edge, fog, and cloud computing as well as distribution of learning task and computation will also be investigated.
