Are you a biologist looking for the opportunity to start new and exciting interdisciplinary research projects? As a postdoctoral researcher, you will use your coordination, communication and molecular biology skills to initiate research pilots in the field of gene regulation and cellular behavior in health and disease.
We are looking for an experimental biologist to join us. You are a team player who will contribute to the deep understanding of gene regulation and cellular behaviour in a variety of interdisciplinary projects. You know how to coordinate projects and communicate with a diverse group of scientists. You will explore, through group discussions and experimentation, the potential of new exciting ideas for interdisciplinary collaboration. You will coordinate and perform key experiments, applying state-of-the-art multi-omics and single-cell analyses. You will also have the opportunity to develop novel ideas, skills and projects that align with the project objectives.
Fixed-term contract: 2 years.
We are the Radboud Institute for Molecular Life Sciences (RIMLS), Faculty of Science, Radboud University (Nijmegen, Netherlands), consisting of the Departments of Molecular Biology, Molecular Developmental Biology and Cell Biology. The overarching research theme of our institute is to understand gene regulation and epigenetics in health and disease using state-of-the-art genomics, single-cell analysis, proteomic technologies and bioinformatics. We offer a first-class international and culturally diverse research environment and opportunities for personal development. We encourage female researchers and scientists from underrepresented groups to apply, and offer tailor-made mentoring programmes.
We are looking for a postdoctoral fellow to foster interdisciplinary collaboration within the Faculty of Science (in the context of the newly formed Interdisciplinary Research Centre). You will execute and initiate several pilot research projects in this context. You will help shape these projects at our institute and actively contribute to generating and analysing data in collaboration with several other teams. This involves a mix of coordination, communication and molecular biology skills. You will be embedded in the department of Molecular Developmental Biology, in the groups of Dr Klaas Mulder and Prof. Gert Jan Veenstra.
