Lecturers within the OSE department are involved in a variety of teaching tasks including tutoring of student groups, grading of exercises and examinations, thesis supervision, and tutoring in skills trainings for students. Teaching activities are oriented towards Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes in international business and entrepreneurship. A lecturer is typically also involved in the development and coordination of courses in the curriculum of the department. This Lecturer position focuses on entrepreneurship-related courses at Maastricht University, mainly at the School of Business and Economics but also beyond. The working language is English. We accept applications from candidates with a masters or PhD degree in a relevant field and offer a temporary contract for two years with the possibility of extension.
The ideal candidate has a background in entrepreneurship, strategic intrapreneurship, small business and/or innovation management. A background in business economics, business administration, human resource management, management, organization or strategy will also be considered. Relevant practical experience as well as experience with the Problem Based Learning system is considered an advantage. We expect our lecturers to be engaged with the topics they teach as well as the students they are teaching. As a lecturer you will work in close cooperation with a variety of senior and junior academic staff. The job offers different experiences and different courses on a regular basis. Therefore flexibility, self-reliance and good work ethic are highly appreciated.
