We are looking for a PhD student for a project integrating cutting-edge approaches in Neuroscience and Economics. The focus is on improving decision making in fatigued individuals by way of neurofeedback. This approach is intended to benefit underprivileged groups that suffer disproportionally from fatigue in everyday life and, as a result, make decisions that are not coherent with their long-term goals.

The candidate possesses a relevant (Research)master degree in Cognitive Neuroscience or similar, affiliation with applications in relevant fields (work psychology, economics and education), good scientific writing skills and is ideally familiar with the common software packages such as TurboBrainvoyager, SPM or Matlab. Prior experience in neuroscientific research and in programming is a plus.

Fixed-term contract: 4 years.

The full-time position is offered for four years (1+3), with a yearly evaluation.
Your salary would be € 2.434,- gross per month in the first year up to € 3.111,- gross per month in the fourth year according to the PhD-candidate salary scale. On top of this, there is an 8% holiday and an 8.3% year-end allowance.
