We live in a digital society in which every aspect of our lives is profoundly affected by the digitalisation of data. It affects how we communicate and socialise, and how we work, learn, stay healthy and participate in politics and the economy. In the Digital Society programme, leading researchers from the fourteen universities in the Netherlands are working together to address the many pressing questions raised by the emergence of a digital society. Within the context of this programme, the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour at Radboud University concentrates on the topic of learning and education.
We are looking for a researcher at the PhD or postdoctoral level to join a multidisciplinary team of AI and cognitive scientists at the Donders Institute embedded in the Social Educational Neuroscience & AI research group. The project will benefit society, for example through products of spin-off companies to foster learning based on scientific knowledge about cognition and AI relating to underlying learning principles. The project has close links with the Living Lab's Learning for the Future programme in which multiple stakeholders from society and knowledge institutes aim to facilitate lifelong learning in terms of personal development and creating innovative learning contexts.
You will be responsible for managing and supervising projects where industry and academia are brought together. You will work together with other members of the Donders departments of AI and Cognitive Psychology, but you will also have a personal responsibility for daily operations in the lab and be the main contact for all stakeholders involved (companies and organisations).
Fixed-term contract: It concerns a temporary employment for 2 years with the possibility of extension.
