Job description

In the role of robotics software engineer at SAM|XL you will be working on cutting edge automated manufacturing technologies for the Aerospace Industry. With your skills and experience in the development of (robotics related) software components you will contribute to the advancement of smart manufacturing technologies in this field. 

This role allows for implementing both existing research, as own novel ideas into useable (ROS) software components.
You will join a young and ambitious team that has a strong drive to introduce world-class robotics applications into industry

Requirements

  • MSc. (or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Robotics or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of working experience.
  • Outstanding programming skills in both C++ and Python.
  • Experience with the development of software for industrial robots.
  • Experience with ROS.
  • Experience with Motion Control
  • Hands-on experience with industrial field bussed (e.g. Profinet) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills.Ability to work independently and become a problem owner.
  • Ability to define and realize your own goals.
  • Ability to collaborate with both Academia and Industry in the context of EU-funded research programs.

Conditions of employment

  • Scale 10 - 11 depending on experience and education level.
  • A salary according to the Collective Labor Agreement of the Dutch Universities, plus 8% holiday allowance and an end-of-year bonus of 8.3%. An excellent pension scheme via the ABP.
