Job description

You will be involved in the diagnostic imaging of referred clinical cases and provide a high-quality service to clients and referring veterinarians. Since we are an academic veterinary center, on top of this you will be involved in training residents and veterinary students. Off-clinics time and enrolment in research can be discussed as part of the position.

You will join an energetic and collegiate team consisting of board-certified radiologists, residents, and a highly trained and capable technical staff. You will be an important member of our team and will contribute significantly to the clinical service and related education for residents and students, including radiography, ultrasonography, CT, MR, nuclear medicine and fluoroscopy. Approximately 9,000 imaging procedures are performed on companion animals and horses annually.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Diplomate of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (Dipl. ECVDI/ACVR) or fully trained resident, who;
  • is ambitious and seeks an academic career;
  • is a motivated team player with outstanding communication skills;
  • has excellent training skills.
Dutch language skills are not required since we are used to international staff.

Conditions of employment

We offer a permanent position (full-time or part-time), initially starting with a contract of 12 months to get to know each other. The gross salary - depending on previous qualifications and experience  - ranges between €2,846 and €5,943 (scale 10 and 11/12 according to the Collective Labour Agreement Dutch Universities) per month for a full-time employment. As an expat you will also get 30% off from government tax-rules for the first five years!

Salaries are supplemented with a holiday bonus of 8% and a year-end bonus of 8.3% per year.
