We are looking for an excellent enthusiastic scholar to join the High-tech Business and Entrepreneurship (HBE) department at the Faculty of Behavioural, Management and Social Sciences. The HBE department is a growing research group that holds a leading position at the interfaces of business, technology, and the social sciences. We conduct cross-disciplinary business research, supporting organizations in innovative management and decision-making.
We are looking for talents with a background in management science, operations research (OR), operations management (OM) or related areas, having a special interest in healthcare operations research/management. The position is embedded in the HBE section Industrial Engineering and Business Information Systems (IEBIS) as well as in the Center for Healthcare Operations Improvement and Research (CHOIR). We therefore especially encourage scholars to apply who work on prominent areas of healthcare such as medical decision making, disease modeling, healthcare data analytics, healthcare planning and scheduling, electronic health records, and behavioral OR.
We perform ground-breaking research combining various themes such as healthcare, smart industry, supply chain management, transportation and logistics management, innovation management, technology-based entrepreneurship, purchasing and supply management, corporate finance, HRM, and leadership. Responsibilities
You contribute to research, teaching, and knowledge valorisation. You will:
- carry out research on healthcare OR/OM , with a genuine interest in operating at crossroads of different subject areas;
- improve your home-based specific expertise and develop an interdisciplinary research line;
- build our research and teaching ecosystem (e.g., by acquiring external research funding);
- contribute towards the supervision of BSc, MSc, PDEng, and PhD students;
- (co-)teach and coordinate courses in our Bachelor and Master programs of Industrial Engineering & Management, Business & IT, and Health Sciences.
