OBJECTIVE OF THE POST
The Associate Business Manager (ABM) is partly responsible for generating revenue for the society by utilizing its profile and status ensuring a positive cash flow. The ABM works closely together with the Business Development Manager and other Managers and Directors to ensure optimal financial procedures and to provide information for resource allocation.
From a sales perspective, EBMT aims that the most important clinical stakeholders become sponsors and financially support EBMT. The ABM connects with pharmaceutical companies in respect to the short-term study requests and is responsible for assuring efficient business management by identifying sales opportunities and negotiating deals. The post holder advises and negotiates with pharma in order to provide them with a tailor-made service package supporting their needs. The ABM has a shared responsibility for the continuation and expansion of the business portfolio.
From a marketing perspective, the ABM participates in launching new study options, helps develop short- and long-term business plans, assists to execute strategies to drive portfolio profitability, connects with the other EBMT units and departments based in other countries and aligns to the Sponsor team needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
o Business Management:
o Negotiations with pharma: assisting in start-to-end management in closing deals. Finalizing the subject of the study, contents of contract, services, and budget, all in close collaboration with the BDM and EBMT units that are involved.
o Contracting: together with EBMTs legal representative and BDM, the post holder identifies, draws, negotiates, reviews and pre-finalizes contracts.
