The Rijksprentenkabinet (Department of Drawings, Prints and Photography of the Rijksmuseum) is seeking a: Curator of 16th- and 17th-Century Drawings.
Profile
The curator will work within the team of twelve curators and researchers of the Rijksprentenkabinet, as well as with the museum’s curators, conservators, information specialists and registrars. The curator is responsible for the museum’s holdings of 16th- and 17th-century drawings and is closely involved in all aspects of the scholarly research, publication and interpretation of works in this subject area. The curator is also responsible for recommending potential new acquisitions and plays a major role in exhibitions and displays in this field.
The main tasks are:
The gross monthly salary will be commensurate with education and experience, from a minimum of € 3.876 to a maximum of € 5.398 (scale 12), for a full working week of 36 hours, excluding 8% holiday allowance and end-of-year benefits. The Museum CAO applies.
Furthermore, we offer 100% travel allowance from 5km and 100% reimbursement if you want to put your bike in a guarded bicycle shed at the station.
When you are through probationary period, you can apply for a museum annual pass, which gives you unlimited access to up to 450 museums in the Netherlands.
Finally, you will work in an inspiring, special working environment, where you can regularly visit the museum (+1 free introduce).
