We are seeking a student assistant who can support the team in realizing our ambitious goals.

Job description

You will support the UNIC Core Team with the day-to-day operational activities. This includes organisational tasks within the Erasmus University and occasionally in activities with our international partners. We are looking for an enthusiastic, organized individual who can support the team by carrying out the following tasks:

Planning & Organisation:

  • Support the UNIC Core Team in planning and hosting local EUR team meetings, including reaching out to colleagues to set-up meetings, identifying locations, note-taking, follow-up tasks, etc.
  • Support the UNIC Corte Team in planning work trips and events abroad, including identifying common timings, locations and logistical arrangements, etc.
  • Update and maintain mailing lists of relevant networks within and beyond UNIC

Information Management

  • Co-manage the UNIC inbox 
  • Assist the project manager with the management of MS teams channels and documentation archive (e.g. frequently updating and sharing files).
  • Assist in updating databases or dashboards with project results.

Who will you work with?

You will be surrounded by a group of 7-8 enthusiastic colleagues within the UNIC Core Team.

Requirements

What we ask from you?

  • Enrolled as a student.
  • Comfortable speaking and writing in English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
  • Are organized and proactive.
  • Proficient with MS Office; previous experience with MS Teams is a plus
  • A multitasker.
  • A team-player, effective in network-based organisation with multiple stakeholders.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 1 year.

An internationally oriented and varied job in an enthusiastic team, with good working conditions in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO NU).

Salary is subject to educational background and experience and ranges from a minimum of
€ 2.402,-  to a maximum of € 2.611,- gross per month based on a full-time contract of 38 hours, in accordance with scale SA of the CAO-NU.

Department

The General Management Directorate (ABD)

The General Management Directorate (Algemene Bestuursdienst, ABD) is the central staff organisation responsible for the organisation and support of EUR’s policy and administra-tion at the institutional level. ABD supports the Executive Board in fulfilling its responsi-bilities with regard to the quality, accessibility and financing of EUR’s education and re-search programmes. ABD handles the joint design of integrated policy, ensures the timely submission of policy within decision-making procedures and the implementation of the adopted policy measures and constantly monitors and evaluates developments in the inter-est of further improvement. ABD comprises the departments of Academic Affairs (AZ) in-cluding D&I Office, Corporate Planning & Control (CPC), Administrative Affairs (BZ), Legal Affairs (JZ) and the Chief Information Office (CIO). The independent university pub-lication Erasmus Magazine also falls under ABD in organisational terms. The management directorate is headed by the Director of the General Management Directorate, who also serves as Secretary of the Executive Board.
