Education and Student Affairs

The Education and Student Affairs (ESA) service aims to provide excellent services to teachers, students and administrators. ESA is the central service point for teachers and (prospective) students at Eindhoven University of Technology and provides services in the field of educational support, educational logistics, study skills, career guidance, use of ICT resources in education, professional skills and language education. In addition, ESA supports the Executive Board, the Deans of the Bachelor College and the Graduate School, as well as the faculties in the fields of education policy, legislation and regulations, quality assurance, training and institutional accreditation, educational innovation and internationalization. ESA has divided this support into four departments, namely the Central Student Administration (CSA), Teacher Support and Quality Assurance (TS&QA), Policy Advice and Projects (PA&P) and Student Facilities (SF).

Policy Advice and Projects

The coordinator international projects will work for the Policy, Advice & Projects (PA&P) department. This department is primarily responsible for drawing up tactical and operational education policy and regulations, internationalization policy and the generation and interpretation of administrative information within the education domain. Experience and knowledge will be exchanged and collaborated within the policy chain that TU/e has set up in a broad sense. In addition, the department manages projects related to or resulting from education policy and its implementation and evaluation.

EuroTeQ

Our university is a partner in an alliance of six leading European universities of science and technology that started an international study program to jointly shape the engineering education of the future; EuroTeQ European University

This project emerges from the EuroTech Universities Alliance, a strategic partnership of Technical University of Denmark (DTU), École Polytechnique (L'X), Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), Technical University of Munich (TUM) as well as Ecole Polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. For this project, two other strong partners are on board: Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) and Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU, please see euroteq.eu).

Job description:

As coordinator international projects you will be joining the team within PA&P focusing on international projects. You will work together with colleagues within PA&P and other departments of ESA, and with colleagues from General Affairs, who are involved in of the EuroTeQ project.

This position is available on a temporary basis (1 year) because of the funding for the EuroTeQ project

The overall goal of the EuroTeQ European University project is building a virtual campus for the mobility of students, staff and external learners of the European partner universities. To boost an entrepreneurial spirit among students and faculty staff and increase the seamless mobility of students between these partners. You will play an important in developing solutions to reach the goals of the EuroTeQ project and more especially related to the work of Work Package 2 (the virtual campus).

Your role to support this challenging project is amongst many other things:
  • Act as an point of contact for both external stakeholders, e.g. partner universities, and internal stakeholders, teachers, education directors and supporting staff.
  • The Practical organization of relevant processes of the EuroTeQ course catalogue.
  • Arranging the teaching offers for the course catalogue in close collaboration with colleagues from other departments within ESA.
  • Contribute to the implementation of EuroTeQ processes in the regular work process of the TU/e.

We are looking for a colleague with

Conditions of employment

We are offering a 0.7 FTE appointment for one year. Depending on experience and education, the salary for a full-time contract ranges between € 2,960- €4,670 gross per month (salary scale 10 CAO Dutch Universities). The TU/e offers a broad package of fringe benefits, for instance a year-end bonus of 8.3%, holiday allowance of 8% and excellent sport facilities.

We are offering a temporary appointment for a period of one year. Appointment may be via EUFLEX (TU/e secondment agency).
