Job description

As Educational Policy Advisor, you will mainly work for SBE’s Education Institute. You will be involved in the process of translating the School’s strategy into educational policy and supporting programme directors and academic staff in doing so. In line with that, your focus will be on curriculum development and – innovation, and execute content-driven secretary roles

More concretely, you will support our director of master programmes, who chairs the Master Education Team (MET), in which the programme leaders of all SBE’s master programmes are involved. You will take the role of secretary of the MET and act as supporter and advisor on various master programmes related projects. One of your structural tasks will also be organising and supporting Assurance of Learnings (AoL) audits, which are planned for every single educational programme every three years. For these roles project management skills are a plus.

Furthermore, you will take over the task of annually updating the Education and Examination Regulations (EER’s) of SBE’s educational programmes. Briefly, EER’s describe the structure (courses and examinations) of the educational programmes and contain provisions on the rights and duties of students and the university. That is why affinity with legal issues and processes are a plus too.

The current policy advisor master programmes will take care of your on boarding process before going on maternity leave. As further growth of SBE and expansion with new programmes and units is expected, the appointment might result in a permanent job.

Your home base will be the Policy Development and Quality Assurance Office, in which you will collaborate with other driven policy advisors, secretaries and information officers.

Requirements

As an enthusiastic, pro-active, creative and thoughtful team player and professional, you can easily alternate between working individually and in groups. You have excellent analytical skills and you are a strong conceptual thinker. This enables you to keep the overview of the bigger projects and the many subtasks that need to be done. Ideally, you have a university degree and/or relevant experience in a similar accreditation, policy or project management role and you have affinity with legal processes and topics. You have excellent oral and written communication skills, both in Dutch and English (C1 proficiency level).

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: We offer a one-year appointment, 0.8 – 1.0 FTE, in a warm and enthusiastic team. Upon positive performance, the function might result in a permanent appointment.

The gross monthly salary mentioned is based on a fulltime appointment. The salary will depend on your education, qualifications and relevant working experience, based on salary scale 9 or 10 of the CAO NU (UFO profile Beleidsmedewerker niveau 5 of 4). This implies a gross monthly salary between € 3.098 and € 4.670 per month (based on a fulltime appointment). Each year the standard salary is supplemented with a holiday allowance of 8% and an end-of-year bonus of 8.3%.
