Due to the growing activities in energy law and the creation of a University Wide Academic Collaborative Centre on Energy Transition and Climate Change, there is a job opportunity for a post-doctoral (senior) researcher in the European and national regulation of the (technological aspects of the) energy transition in the Department of TILT (Tilburg Institute for Law, Technology, and Society), with a special focus on hydrogen market regulation and the digitalization of the energy system. TILT is a large, diverse, and interdisciplinary department, home to nearly 70 members of academic staff and a range of legal and social science disciplines. The successful candidate will develop and grow in research and in the development of academic activities with societal impact, both individually and as part of a team of ambitious scholars.

TILT has a vacancy for a post-doctoral (senior) researcher who can make a vital contribution to research and impact activities in the fields of the European and national regulation of the energy transition. 

The successful candidate will initiate and participate in research on the European and national regulation of the energy transition carried out by the team of Prof. Lavrijssen, part of the Tilburg Institute for Law, Technology, and Society (TILT). The successful applicant will contribute to the research on commissioned projects, writing tenders and conducting research for various European and national studies as well as contribute to the signature research plan "regulating socio-technical change". The candidate will work in close collaboration with TILT staff in preparing activities and events on the regulation of the energy transition, including initiatives for professional learning. The candidate will also play an important role in facilitating and stimulating interdisciplinary cooperation in the University Wide Academic Collaborative Centre on Energy Transition and Climate Change.

This is a position for 0.8 – 1.0  FTE (32 - 40 hours per week) of full working time. 

The salary amounts to a minimum of €3,974 and a maximum of €5,439 gross per month for full-time employment, based on UFO profile Researcher 3 and salary scale 11 of the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities. Tilburg University uses a neutral remuneration system for salary scaling that is based on relevant education and work experience.

This is a vacancy for a temporary position in accordance with Article 2.3 paragraph 5 of the CLA for Dutch universities. You will be given a temporary employment contract for the duration of 36 months. 

You are entitled to a vacation allowance of 8% and a year-end bonus of 8.3% of your gross annual income. If you work 40 hours per week, you will receive 41 paid days of leave per year.
