What will you do?
You will work within the Department of Development & Innovation. In this department, developers, managers, consultants, and project managers work together on the development and management of our applications. Your work station will be located within the UB, in the bustling city centre of Groningen.

As project manager, you will delve into innovative projects initiated by the UB. To this end, you will work together with internal partners, such as faculties and the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG), as well as external partners both on a national and international level. Examples include suppliers and the consortium of the National Library of the Netherlands and other university libraries (UKB).

In your work as project manager, you will be supported by the Project Office.

Requirements

You are an experienced, independent, and flexible project manager. You can respond well to various situations and contexts and can communicate well in this. You can motivate people to get behind your projects, you achieve results, monitor progress, and are a good and proactive communicator.

In addition, you possess the following competences:

● the ability to think and work at a university or university of applied sciences level
● extensive project management experience using Prince2 principles
● good organizational skills
● core competences: persuasiveness, result-orientation, excellent planning and organizational skills, the ability to work as part of a team, the ability to work to a budget, organizational sensitivity
● good oral and written communication skills in Dutch and English.

An affinity with the world of academic teaching and research is an advantage

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 12 months.

In accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities, we offer the following terms of employment:

● a maximum salary, depending on qualifications and experience, of € 5,439 (salary scale 11) gross per month for a full-time position. The corresponding UFO profile is Project Manager 4
● an 8% holiday allowance and an 8.3% end-of-year bonus over the annual gross income
● a one-year contract After the agreed end date, and depending on the outcome of your Results & Development interview and other (internal) circumstances, your contract may be converted into a contract for an indefinite period.
