Job description

As digital projects and services consultant, you will be part of the Digital Projects and Services team. Our mission is to provide the best digital experience of the RSM brand via RSM.nl. Our team is part of RSM's Corporate Marketing and Communications department (CMC), together with the brand management team and the communications team with whom we work closely together. You will also work with diverse internal clients such as the alumni team or bachelor and master programme management to optimise their digital environment, and external agencies. You will report to the digital projects and services manager.

Your main tasks
This role consists of many elements. Are you ready for the following challenges?

Consultation
  • Conduct regular audits on sections of the website in which you assess the performance of the webpages.
  • Use insights from web optimisation tools to formulate advice on how to improve CRO, SEO and usability of web pages to drive conversion and match the RSM brand.
  • Align with stakeholders and co-ordinate the hypotheses testing, whether that be through running A/B tests or implementing changes directly and monitoring performance shifts over time. You will also be in charge of gathering, analysing and presenting the results.
  • Be a part of the creative ideation process in creating new projects to further advance the digital marketing and communication instruments of RSM.
Conduct user experience (UX) and market research
  • Design, plan and conduct user research for various purposes, such as ideation, testing prototypes, and optimising webpages.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative data to create personas and customer journeys for internal clients.
  • Create reports for different audiences and use insights to help internal clients align their marketing efforts with the needs of the target audiences.
  • Collect and analyse data on competitors (benchmark analysis).
Project management and execution
  • Able to manage digital projects with a lead-time of several months involving multiple stakeholders with different levels of authority.
  • Apply your expert knowledge and collaborate with discipline experts on social media, conversion rate optimisation (CRO), email, analytics and more to ensure quality, and to make sure the projects continue to respond to the internal client's needs.
  • Organise and set clear expectations to tasks and deliverables and pro-actively come with solutions to overcome roadblocks that could eventually come on the way.
  • Prepare and maintain clear and accurate communication and project documentation, including project plans, status reports, change requests, and resource requests.
  • Keep all stakeholders committed and informed of project progress frequently.
  • Organise evaluation sessions with the participants to gather and give feedback.
Account management
  • Advise internal clients on digital marketing strategies and activities and help to drive successful results via the website.
  • Assess the needs of internal clients.
  • Offer adequate digital advice based on their goals and needs.
  • Plan the implementation of the advice.
  • Work together with the client and student assistants in the implementation of the plan.
  • Evaluate and optimise the results (by providing coaching and training).
Service management
  • Responsible for the overall planning of our internal service portal called Service Desk that is run by two student assistants.
  • Oversee that all requests are handled according to the service level agreement by the student assistants.
  • Find structural solutions to recurrent issues.
  • Take part in the selection of the student assistants and plan their onboarding.
Knowledge sharing (inform, train, and educate)
  • Keep internal clients updated on the latest developments of our content management system (CMS) TYPO3.
  • Train internal clients and new colleagues on how to use our digital marketing tools, such as TYPO3, Google analytics, and Hotjar.
  • Provide tools and training to internal clients on UX methodologies.
  • Organise knowledge sharing sessions to enhance the knowledge of TYPO3 editors on digital marketing topics.
Coaching
  • You will work closely with a student assistant who can support you in various projects.
  • Support the student assistant in their personal and professional development journey at RSM by giving feedback and including them in projects that allow them to reach their learning goals.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you need:
  • at least five years of experience in a digital marketing-oriented role, preferably including project management
  • a high command of written and spoken English, language skills in Dutch are a benefit
  • knowledge or experience with web optimisation tools such as Google analytics and Hotjar
  • knowledge or experience with CMS systems
  • ability to be responsive and adapt to rapidly changing circumstances, while maintaining delivery of core goals and priorities
  • being familiar with Agile methodology is nice to have
  • quantitative and qualitative research skills
  • data-driven and analytical mindset
  • full-time availability (40 hours a week).

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: 12 months, with option for extension.

We offer a full-time job in an awesome team of six digital heroes. You'll be part of our top business school and prestigious university in Rotterdam. You will work closely with colleagues from RSM, Erasmus University, digital agencies and the academic world. Your contract will initially be for one year, after which there is a possibility for extension.

The conditions of employment comply with the collective labour agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO NU). Salary is subject to training and experience and may vary from €2,960 up to €4,670 gross per month (scale 10 CAO VSNU), based on a full-time contract of 38 hours.

The attractive benefits package includes an end-of-year bonus of 8.3 per cent, holiday allowance of 8 per cent, extensive leave facilities for a healthy work-life balance (41 days a year based on a 40-hour work week), travel expense compensation, partially paid parental leave, a personal development budget, and a good pension fund.
