Are you keen to tackle an innovative and challenging project in a dynamic environment? Do you aim for results that provide meaningful and relevant experiences to researchers and support staff? Are you an expert in creating and managing support for your projects? We are looking for a project manager, full of energy and positivity, who wants to connect stakeholders and make a difference.

As project manager of the Rethinking Research Support Information project, you have the unique opportunity to make research support information easily available to EUR's academic community so that they can quickly navigate to the desired information they need to conduct impactful, reliable and excellent research.

Job description

The increasing complexity of conducting research highlights the need for research support professionals working closely together to professionally support researchers. Multiple areas of expertise are needed, including (but not limited to) grant support, ethics, open science, data management, project management and communication. Collaboration between these experts is essential. Throughout the university several teams are involved in providing this support. As a result, communication is scattered, which leads to inefficient management of information on our intranet. Moreover, it leads to researchers not being able to find the right information to help them in their research processes.

Your focus will be on (1) creating a research portal (within the current CMS) with access to research support information designed to match the needs and wishes of our researchers, (2) proposing improved governance regarding how EUR-wide research support information should be communicated, and (3) an EUR-wide campaign to the academic community.

As project manager you will guide this change with involvement and support of all stakeholders. You will work closely with our faculties and departments (including Erasmus Research Services, Marketing & Communication, University Library, Erasmus Digitalisation & Information Services). You will be responsible for the organizational, administrative processes and communications. You will safeguard deadlines, monitor progress and prepare reports required by the project. You will organize project events such as lead user panels and demos.

You will be embedded within Erasmus Research Services (ERS) and report in line to the director of ERS and subsequently to the client of the project you support. The duration of the project is one year.
