The Marketing & Communication (M&C) Division of Tilburg University is looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and entrepreneurial External Account Manager – International Markets (EAMI) (1.0 FTE) to support the Marketing & Recruitment (M&R) Department. The M&R Department consists primarily of two areas, 1) M&R Strategy & Account Management and 2) M&R Service Center. This department is responsible for the recruitment of national and international Bachelor’s and Master’s students, the strategic marketing plans that underlie these plans and the rollout/realization of these plans. In its area of expertise, M&R is an important sparring partner for 5 faculties and works closely with the Division of Academic Services.
The External Account Management is divided into several accounts:
These domestic and international accounts are proactively maintained by different Account Managers. The Account Managers proactively generate leads. This implies that External Account Managers are responsible for both B2C (business to consumer) and B2B (business to business) relations.
As an External Account Manager, you will represent Tilburg University in a professional manner at (virtual) events and network meetings. In close collaboration with the EAMI team members and M&R
Service Center, you will work on projects assessing the international recruitment market and develop Tilburg University’s branding through joint communication projects.

Please note that this is a temporary position, until the end of December 2023. The position of External Account Manager – International Market is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position. The position will be ranked in the Dutch university job ranking system (UFO communication officer 2). The gross salary for a full-time position amounts a minimum of €2818 and to a maximum of €3764 (scale 8) gross per month, in line with the experience of the candidate.
Tilburg University offers excellent terms of employment. You are entitled to a holiday allowance amounting to 8% and a year-end bonus of 8.3% of your gross yearly income. If you work 40 hours per week, you receive 41 days of paid recreational leave per year.
