Job description

You will be part of the Incoming Team, consisting of the Coordinator Incoming students, two Incoming officers and a student assistant. As Coordinator, you will coordinate and support all Incoming processes, such as nomination, application and registration of incoming students, course registration and providing academic transcripts at the end of the exchange. As coordinator, you are responsible for the organisation and smooth running of the twice-yearly introduction days.

Although the Incoming Officers will mainly handle administrative matters, you will maintain in regular contact with the partners and will be the liaison between SBE and the partner universities. Especially for questions related to the content/structure of the exchange agreement (e.g. course offers, exchange numbers) or problems regarding a specific student, you will act as their first contact person. You will also be the contact person for incoming students in need of special attention. 

In addition, you will be monitoring (global) developments that may affect internationalisation, coordinate the development of communication materials regarding SBE’s incoming exchange programme, organize and take part in communication and promotion activities of the incoming exchange programme e.g. (online) fairs and be responsible for reporting about the exchange programmes to other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • You are able to work at an HBO level and be international oriented;
  • You have extensive experience in and affinity with organizational, advisory and administrative tasks;
  • Familiarity with the organizational and educational structure of Maastricht University in general, and specifically the School of Business and Economics is a plus.
  • Proficiency of the English and Dutch language; active knowledge of any other foreign language is a plus;
  • You are customer focused and have excellent organizational skills;
  • You know how to implement and improve administrative processes;
  • You are accurate, tactful, independent, pro-active and can handle stress;
  • You like working in a team;
  • You do not have a nine-to-five job attitude
  • If requested you are willing to travel to partner universities in order to attend fairs or partner events.

Conditions of employment

Fixed-term contract: We offer a 0.8 fte appointment for one year. In case of good performance, this may be extended.

Remuneration will be according to standard salary levels, depending on education and relevant work experience, in salary scale 8 (€ 2.818 and € 3.764 based on a fulltime appointment), according to the collective labour agreement (CAO) of Dutch Universities, including 8% holiday pay and an 8,3% end of year payment.

Within the framework of the university job structure (UFO), the position is in the category “Internationalisation Officer, level 3”.
