The
NMReChem group, led by Dr Evan Wenbo Zhao, focuses on the development and application of operando nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) methods for studying electrochemistry with a focus on grid-scale energy storage and chemical conversion, which has overarching implications for mitigating climate change. The group is part of the
Magnetic Resonance Research Center (MRRC), which nurtures a strong collaborative environment. The group collaborates with other academic and industrial labs from the Netherlands, Iceland, Spain, Germany, UK, US and Canada. We have routine access to a suite of solid-state and solution NMR systems (ten in total) and develop and home-build customised NMR probes, supported by a team of knowledgeable engineers.
The Center is embedded within the
Institute for Molecules and Materials (IMM). As one of the major research institutes of the Faculty of Science at Radboud University, IMM is a research institute in chemistry and physics that fosters interdisciplinary research. Its mission is to design and create functional molecules and materials with the intention of fundamentally understanding their behaviour.
Radboud University
We want to get the best out of science, others and ourselves. Why? Because this is what the world around us desperately needs. Leading research and education make an indispensable contribution to a healthy, free world with equal opportunities for all. This is what unites the more than 24,000 students and 5,600 employees at Radboud University. And this requires even more talent, collaboration and lifelong learning. You have a part to play!
