The Department of Anaesthesia at Radboud University Medical Centre offers a position as fellow in paediatric anaesthesia.
Amalia Children's Hospital, as part of Radboudumc is one of the dedicated children's hospitals in the country.
We are a tertiary referral centre for urology, rare gastrointestinal congenital diseases, cranial and maxillo facial reconstruction. Neonates diagnosed with congenital diaphragmatic hernia are operated in our institution, and we offer round the clock ECMO service. Gastroenterology, ophthalmology, plastic surgery, ENT, Radiology, neurosurgery and orthopaedic surgery are other specialties that demand regular input from our department.
Radboudums is a dedicated trauma and burns centre. In addition, children with chronic pain are treated in collaboration with pain specialists of the Radboudumc Expertise centre for Pain and Palliative Medicine (REPPG). In the near future we would like to expand our activities in paediatric chronic pain.
Leuven University Medical Centre is a leading institutions at national and international level and national referral centre for paediatric cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery and liver transplantation. During the six months in Leuven you will spend time in the busy Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (up to three months). Theatre time will focus in particular on specialties.
We are a friendly and energetic department that will encourage you to participate in regular teaching, conduct research and attend national and international congresses relevant to the specialty.
