Within the Education Support Centre we work with a young, driven and ambitious multimedia team (Team Educational Media). The team provides educational videos, for example as teaching material, for teachers and students at Wageningen University. To strengthen this team, we are looking for a specialist in video and media production.

As an "AV Specialist" you will:

• Co-manage our 3 studios and support in-studio preparation and recording sessions with university staff;
• Collaborate with other colleagues (e.g., studio operators, IT specialists, instructional designers) to plan and execute projects
• Support professors and researchers in preparing for- and recording- clips at a world renown University
• Based on relevant skill set, support animation workflows on a per-project basis
• Help during filming and editing of on-location shoots (infrequent)

• High sense of responsibility and autonomy (you run the studio independently after the onboarding process) and you enjoy working on the quality improvement of the video productions and related systems / workflows;
• C2 level English and Dutch fluency. Good communication skills in English are needed for coaching teachers during the recordings. NT2 level fluency in Dutch desired for team communication and Dutch language content;
• Proficiency with standard video equipment, production workflows (namely in-studio but on-location desired as well), presentation and camera coaching (including the necessary interpersonal skills), editing (Davinci preferred) and presentation software, and want to develop further in use of these tools;
• Proficiency with graphic design principles, workflows and software. Affinity with Motion Graphics or animation beneficial;
• 2-3 years work experience or have recently completed your education in the field of AV production.

Depending on your experience, we offer a competitive gross salary of between €2.402,- and 3.026,- per month for a full-time working week of 38 hours, in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreements for Dutch Universities (CAO-NU) (scale 6). You will receive an initial temporary contract for 1 year at 0.5 FTE (20 hours per week) as AV Specialist. The position is part-time and temporary. However, depending on the financial position of the department, it may be possible to extend the contract and increase the total amount of hours after 1 year.

'Education and Student Affairs' (ESA) is a central department in Wageningen University and Research, responsible for the strategy, the implementation, the support for- and innovation of- its education. The Education Support Centre

As part of ESA, the Education Support Centre (ESC) aims to optimize learning, teaching, and educational innovation at our university. ESC seeks to inspire lecturers, facilitate and support their teaching and the education environment, and to enhance lecturers' professional competences.

For 17 years, Wageningen University and Research has had a leading position in the Netherlands. This standing is a recognition of the quality of education provided, the education facilities and its continued implementation of ambitious plans related to blended and open and online education. The Education Support Centre has grown rapidly over the last few years and now employs around 80 staff, organised in 7 teams:

1. Training & Advice - offers pedagogical advice and educational training, workshops and courses, such as the University Teaching Qualification; (Basis Kwalificatie Onderwijs).
2. Open & Online - supports the development and implementation of open and online education via professional learning, Massive Open Online Courses, etc.
3. Online Learning Environment - offers functional management of the digital learning environment (Brightspace) and emerging educational technology applications.
4. Educational Media - supporting the production of media and associated capture and distribution technologies.
5. Digital Examination - responsible for all the digital assessments in education and associated technologies.
6. Society Based Education - stimulates and organises real life cases in education offered by societal partners (from business, governmental-, to civil society organisations).
7. Education Support Service Desk - offers a central point of contact for teachers at Wageningen University, forming a bridge between educators, students and the other teams within ESC.
