We are looking for someone who is at junior / medior level. Specifically:
The starting date for this position is as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be based at ISS in The Hague and will initially be offered a contract for six months with Erasmus University Rotterdam.
In accordance with the conditions applied at Erasmus University Rotterdam as indicated in the Collective Labour Agreement of the Dutch universities, the salary is in the range EUR 2.818,- to EUR 3.764,- (Scale 8) for full-time employment. In addition, we offer an 8% holiday allowance, an end-of-year payment of 8.3%, and a very generous paid leave scheme. Furthermore, EUR is affiliated with ABP for the pension provision, and we offer partially paid parental leave, fully paid extended birth leave for partners, a personal career budget, work-life balance coaches, discounted collective health insurance, and more. As an employee, you can also use EUR facilities such as the University library and receive a discount on subscriptions for the Erasmus sports center.

The International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) is a leading academic centre for international development studies in The Hague, which is part of Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR). It is a post-graduate institute of policy-oriented critical social science, founded in 1952. The Institute offers a PhD in Development Studies, a 15.5-month Masters (MA) in Development Studies with five majors, and an MA in Public Policy.
The ISS engages a highly diverse international community of scholars and students from the global South and the global North. It brings together people (on average from over 50 different countries), ideas and insights in a multidisciplinary setting which nurtures, fosters and promotes independent thinking. ISS staff, PhD researchers and MA students conduct innovative research on fundamental development problems that exist in different parts of the world. Our strong partnerships with organisations and individuals in developing and developed countries make up a network where we co-create knowledge so that our work remains societally relevant. International Centre for Frugal Innovation (ICFI)
The International Centre for Frugal Innovation was founded in 2013 as one of the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus (LDE) centres as part of the strategic alliance between Leiden University, Delft University of Technology, and Erasmus University Rotterdam. Through innovative teaching and research, ICFI seeks to contribute towards understanding and solving some of the complex issues of our time with a focus on innovations that aim to do more and better with fewer resources. These frugal innovations aim to offer smart, simple and affordable solutions. Frugal innovation processes start from the identification of needs and bottlenecks especially for underprivileged sections in society. LDE GLOBAL - Research and Education with the Majority World

Support team
The Secretariat / support team of ICFI is located within the International Institute of Social Studies of Erasmus University Rotterdam (ISS-EUR) and provides support to the ICFI management team and to academic staff at the three universities that cooperate within ICFI. The executive manager of ICFI, the impact coordinator and the communication / admin officer also provide direct support to the more recent established LDE Global initiative.
